If you start any facet of this program thinking *you* know best, you are not starting off on the right foot.
I would strongly encourage you to seek the RIGHT sponsor with disregard to sex and any other things you feel should be "important" to you.
I have two sponsors... one happens to be male and the other is female, but they showed up in my life when I needed them for who they were and how they could help.
