Hi Kris 47. I can't offer any advice as far as how bad your withdrawals will be when you stop drinking. From what I am told though, it can be dangerous to go through withdrawals without help from a Dr., detox center, etc. Since you are taking care of your husband and can't attend a residential treatment program, do you have an outpatient program in your area that you can attend during the day? I did 3 weeks in an outpatient setting and it really helped!
