SR has some very nice features, BrattenJ_57 (Do we have the same last name?). Most useful is a chat room you can access by clicking the 'chat room' link that is at the top right of the page header. There are twice weekly loosely-structured meetings which are gently and ably moderated. There is almost always someone there with an open ear, 24/7.
Secondly, you may also send private messages, or PMs, to members simply by clicking on their username. There may be a minimum post count first though.

Excellent! And thank you. I'm hitting the "witching hour" now, the time of day I have for so long been accustomed to opening a bottle. The Beast is acting a fool, making me irritable, anxious, fearful. I'm just hanging close to the RR website, reviewing the Crash Course. Just observing the Beast, the discomfort, its little tantrum. Good to be writing this as I experience all this.
What are the days/hours for the on-line meetings you wrote about?
