I know people that run houses for people that are in bad situations, and there are several womans and womans/childrens homes in the portland/vancouver area. It sounds like this is something that you could use. Staying there to support him might seem like the way to show love the best, and to support him the most, but sometimes it's hard to love yourself and him at the same time.
