You need to be phoning the police / medics, not posting on here.
Let us know how you get on - thinking of you

Absolutely phone the police NOW if you feel you or anyone else is in danger Missy.

there is also a domestic violence hotline here -
National Domestic Violence Hotline

but the priority now needs to be making you safe.

I have to put this out there - I live in Portland and I see your location is SW Washington. I know people that run houses for people that are in bad situations, and there are several womans and womans/childrens homes in the portland/vancouver area. It sounds like this is something that you could use. If you're interested in catching your breath and removing yourself from a volatile situation, let me know in this thread or via PM and I'll provide you with some numbers to call for help.

Staying there to support him might seem like the way to show love the best, and to support him the most, but sometimes it's hard to love yourself and him at the same time.

My prayers are with you.

i think that Missy's children are older and married, maybe her niece lives there or is away at college?
regardless, i hope she checks in and lets us know she is ok.
her posting sounded very panic stricken.
i thought she was getting some ftf counsel and wasn't drinking....but her hubby has not?
anyway, please let us know how you are.

Thanks for your concern. It was an awful event and I am sorry to have brought it to the list...and I've stayed away a little because I realize that I've become too dependent on it.

He eventually worked his way back into the house and convinced me that my experience wasn't real, which is what he has done the whole time I have known him.

If what I know happened isn't real, things are just easier, aren't they?

I don't really know how to approach this... If you are saying that this all happened but that your husbands trying to twist it to make you believe that it never happened then I'd say that he is trying to manipulate you. Were you both drunk or both sober or what? I don't really understand the story but I get the feeling that you need some sort of support and I wouldn't like u to stay in the shadows if there's something we can all do to help you.... Let us know we are here if u need us to be.

Abuse is more progressive than alcoholism.

Please find the domestic abuse program in your area.

Missy, do you know what the term gaslighting means?

It is a term that came from a movie called Gas Light. It is a very common tactic that abusers use to disarm their victims and it is very serious. To have your reality constantly undermined and to be told that your perceptions are incorrect can cause you to feel like you are losing your grasp.

Please reach out for help. Do not let this man victimize you anymore.
