You've had some great advice here ML - there will be other nights, and to be blunt after the first round, you probably won't be missed, old son.
The way I had to look at it was - its not impossible to get out of a club night - but it might be impossible to get back if I fall off the wagon again.
It needs to be that level of commitment I think.
