I always seem to be able to stop if I tell myself to. But then, I say oh well I can stop so ill just drink today. So like today I say I'm done! Maybe that will last a few days.....ugh.
Well then, that gives you a couple days to put something in place to be able to deal with the inevitable deciding that "it's okay to drink" that the alcoholic voice makes us believe.
If you have been dealing with this misery for as long as you say, you need to put all your efforts into getting past that moment of insanity where drinking becomes an option.
