I'm in a sort of isolated location--an island with a population of about 5,000. To start a local NA meeting, I would check with your local NA district office. Where I live, there is only one NA meeting a week (then AA meetings the other six days), so AA and NA are coordinated. Many of the same people are at either meeting, so maybe you could to start out by getting in touch with AA.
This was in our local newspaper this week. A year and a half ago, the sheriff's deputy escorted me from my home in handcuffs and it took ten hours to get me to a hospital, even using an airplane (the pilot was stuck on a ferry boat when they first contacted him...)
