Yes you can turn your brain off.
You can handle this by telling yourself that he is a grown man and that he is not your child. Therefore
you do not need to know where he is or what he is doing. He is wherever
he wants to be and he is doing
whatever he wants to do. As it seems he always has. He wants to drink, therefore he is drinking. You know he is drinking and partying already. So, leave him to it.
