Good morning Undies

Well winter has returned with a vengenance. It's 3c, icy cold, keeps trying to snow and we had a spectacular thunder storm last night with hailstones! There were warning notices up this morning when I was driving to work re slippy/skid roads. So back to the hat, scarf and gloves for me, oh and the thermal vest! Sexy lady, me you know!

Hi B.F hope you have a good day.

M.B, sorry you're snowed in but happy you're sober. You've been missed.

Hi TTBABP, oh no, sorry you had to go into work with that greeting you, not the best start to the week. I hope the burst hasn't caused too much damage.

Hi Duane, good to see you posting.

Bloss, I think I tempted fate mentioning the better weather we had! I hope all is well with you and little Blossom.

I Tanja, I'm fearful of drinking again too, I'm fearful of becoming complacent, which is what happened to me last time, but at least I am aware of my demons this time round and I'll be fighting them all the way.

Nicky, that really is good news about your friend joining you in a meeting, fingers crossed she sticks with it this time and she's very lucky in having a friend like you to turn to.

Sober1ck, massive congrats on 30 days, just awesome and of course this is another excuse for the Banana Boys to show off one of their routines.

WWG, you're doing really well, be proud of yourself, I'm proud of you and I bet your lovely wife is too. Does this mean you've beaten your record now, are you on a fortnight!
A big part of the battle is being honest with yourself and accepting that you are an alcoholic, it's not easy I know, I still struggle with it myself. None of us want to be alcoholics, we didn't choose this illness, but neither do people choose to have cancer or any other illnesses or afflictions ,but the good thing is that now we know what we have, we can do something about it. Every single one of us here has regrets about the time and money we have wasted, but we have to draw a line under it and live for today. What is the point in wasting even more time dwelling on something that we can't do anything about. You're luckier than so many people here, you have youth on your side, you have a lovely, supportive wife and a beautiful healthy daughter, so it's time you started looking at how half full your glass is and make a difference to today, no more living in the past and feeling sorry for yourself. Said with love. xxxx

Just for today, I will laugh more, and complain less. Just for today, I will not only count,
but see, my blessings. I will remember that home is where my heart is.
