Welcome, CR995. And not to my knowledge after almost 2 years on this forum and over 2 years in Al-Anon have I heard of an alcoholic going onto live a perfect life, with or without anyone,
without getting physically and emotionally sober first.
I know it hurts now, but the time will come that you will be thanking this young and naive woman for taking him off your hands.
