I'm an INFJ too. And here's an interesting factoid I gleaned from reading several books on the topic: INFJ is the rarest personality type. Only something like 1% of people have it. And overall, "NF" personalities are unusual (the two middle factors are the "core" of the personality).
I was really quite relieved to learn this, because I've known, all my life, that I don't quite perceive the world the way others do. Knowing that the difference is a simple matter of personality type has helped me to stop thinking of myself as being "right" and others "wrong" (or vice versa for that matter).
Another thing it has allowed me to do is to understand that at times, my perspective can be valuable to others--it truly can. Because the greatest value comes from being able to see things from different angles. And if my angle is different, and I express it, it adds to the picture we can all see.
