just enough strength to reach out my hand just a little bit and grab ahold of God.... and He grabbed ahold of me and brought me back from the edge. Until we let go of our own pride (wanting to do what we want to do when we want to do it) and realize that we ARE powerless over our addictions without the help of someone to knock some sense into us. That once we take that first drink... it's all over - and probably for quite a while (though I hope not for your sake). And until we realize that we can be free and really latch onto that truth. Then we just flounder about.
You are more important than that. So, how are you going to get out of the insanity... what are you going to do different (as D always asks)... time to change it up.
