Are you just assuming he was being courageous? How can you know how he felt going there? It is only a meeting and if he saying he is going to continue to drink on weekends, then he is STILL DRINKING. Trying to control your drinking does not work. He will be back to the same level of drinking very shortly. Get working on yourself please.
