Gave up the alcohol for about 3 months. Then last week I got some free time to myself and decided to have something to drink...just for one night. One night became three nights. Then I stopped easily and was proud of myself for enjoying myself and not letting it get too out of control.
Then a few days ago for no real reason at all I decided again, "just for one night". One night turned into 4 nights. And suddenly I realize that in the last 14 nights I drank 7 of them. And the feelings of anxiety are coming back...the lack of energy...weird body symptoms...and just starting to feel unhealthy again. This after 3 months of eating right, exercising, losing weight, and getting healthier. So I have to regain focus here.
I guess it's true that old habits die hard?
