Detox sounds like a good idea if you can get it. I'm in the UK so no idea how things like that work where you are.
Have you heard of AVRT before? That may be a huge help to you if AA wasn't working.
Sorry life has not been good to you...it sounds like getting sober will mean one less thing to worry about for you.
