I was just reading about this today--don't know if it applies or helps, but here goes: (regarding SEEKING a relationship or romantic love)

Until you realize you are complete as you are, you are not ready for a relationship. This means detaching and letting go. Whether it's a person, place, or thing, let it go and know, not in your mind, but in your heart and soul, that you are okay--whole, complete, and at peace, whether you get what you are after or not. When you are one with yourself, it becomes magical. You can get whatever you want.

The way I see this, is it's saying stop seeking, and become....you will attract what you are!
