I agree thats a good plan. As is common with alcoholics we find ourselves isolated. The only person I speak to is my partner. Everyone else is someone from the bar we go to. We moved here to long island three years ago but there is not much chance of meeting new friends unless you put yourself in a bar situation. People on long island are not easy to connect with. Not like Maine.
No excuses I know but what drives me to go there is the loneliness. Accountability will have be solely my own. As well it should.
There is no quick solution to that but meetings do help a little.
Glad your sticking with your decision. You are an inspiration.
