Once again, thanks all! I just had a good talk with a friend and co-worker who will be 2 years sober this Friday. He answered many of my nagging questions about AA and offered to take me to my first meeting on his special occasion. I have to say I am thrilled! The three hour drive will be well worth it to see him achieve his two years as well as a soft entrance for me to the AA meetings that I have been dreading for so many reasons.
I really love this guy! And all this before I even get into the hell of detox. I feel so well protected already.
