I guess, if nothing else, it's a reminder that life is fleeting, so enjoy the time you have with those you love while you have it, whether it's 5 months or 50 years. I hope your doctor is wrong, but either way -- you have today to love him and enjoy his company, and that's all you ever know for sure. It can be so hard to let go of the anxiety and fear, but it is worth trying.
