I did a few days of jailtime for my drinking too.
I quoted your words above b/c it may be better for you to look at
you as the root of
your problems.
Sure, the alcohol and drinking are bad and need to be stopped, but I jumped light years ahead in my recovery when I realized
I was
my own problem the whole time.
