This is not medical advice, but from my own experience I was able to get rid of many of my aches and pains in my joints by cleaning up my diet.
I am 43, I played over 14 years of organized football all the way up to the collegiate level, I was a catcher in baseball and fastpitch softball for close to 30 years, I have some arthritus in my shoulders wrists ankles and knees, and I have been in 3 major car accidents.
Once I got rid of all the "white stuff" in my diet, (white flour, sugar, salt and milk), I saw a noticable difference in my aches and pains. I basically eat a low carb diet. I am pain free for the most part, and the only time these aches and pains reappear is when I cheat on my diet and eat icecream, candy, bread, etc, (large servings)
Again this is my own experience, but it has truly helped me live basically pain free.
