For me, I could not live under the same roof as my exah and detach. I just couldn't do it. Every time he came home and was grinding his teeth or nodding off at the table, my anxiety would go through the roof. So, if distance is a way to gain a small measure of peace, take the time to focus on yourself and do some soul searching... If he's not a man you want to be around at the moment, you've made the right decision to stay with your parents.
