Welcome and congrats on your days sober! All my relatives have past away except my siblings and children, so I have been "adopted" by my fiancés large family. They all drink, most to excess, but are high functioning workaholics. They sympathetically define me as an alcoholic, because when I drink, I get nothing done. They are encouraging my sobriety out of concern for my productivity level, haha! It sounds like you are making a good start towards recovery with your counselling and plans to eliminate and avoid.
