Kelly, your post made me think for a minute. It made me realize that *I* might very well have been the "alcoholic cousin" you speak of, but for MY family gatherings. That thought really bothers me. I always had the bottle of champagne ready, filling glasses for people (willing or unwilling). How did I know what people were going through? Maybe someone was really trying to cut back and not drink and there I was, practically pouring it down their throat. Wow, I really don't like my "drunk" self.
Thankfully I won't be that man tonight!
