Hey bigred, presuming the meetings over there are the same as in the UK, you dont have to stand up and say anything at all, there is no obligation to say a single word - just sit at the back and listen - I thought that was what I would do at my first meeting but I found myself wanting to speak. You can leave at any point if you are uncomfortable - the ppl there will be very glad to have a newcomer among them but I am sure you will find you are given all the space you need if you don't want to converse. They will all be exactly the same as the people in here. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
