Lexiecat: time to breathe and be gentle with yourself.
Triggers suck and sometimes I can let them go fairly easily, sometimes I go crazy missing what was, feeling my hurt and being miserable. And yes, I want to interact with a few people in FB but am all triggered about comments or pics I might find. So/better steer clear, at least until I'm stronger.
I try to think "it is all in the past, I am safe NOW" that kind of helps... I totally agree that the racing heart WITHOUT the desperate need to go back to all that, is a step forward. Ah, the old familiar- I think its great when we realize its there and its familiar but its NOT what we really want... you are doing a great job!!! you are observing yourself.
