Because of my addiction issues (to about anything that made me feel 'different'), I have had to find other (non-chemical) ways to relax, to party, to have fun, to decompress, to grieve, to relieve pain, etc etc. It really can be done, and who knows, maybe you'll enjoy the flight or at least survive unscathed, and that will teach you that you never have to medicate for flights again!
