Please consider this: If your daughter is using then her contact with her children should be eliminated unless you can supervise it for the very reason that you have given above. Your daughter in active, untreated addiction is not able to think of the best thing for your grand-daughter, and you have seen a touch of it in this instance. I think it is a common thing for addicts to be looking forward to the time when their children are old enough so that they can get high and "party" with them. Again, they make their relationship with their children more like a peer relationship, and that is why I am asking you to consider how you can protect your grandchildren from that kind of abuse....
