Thanks for responding so quickly to my post! The AA-type fellowship/empathy/understanding is only found among those of us who share the journey; you said to "let God have a chance to work," and that is my biggest struggle right now because truly seeking God means coming out of denial that Mom is gone. My pain that triggered my drinking-lie solution is the unresolved issues that I had with Mom; I am in a grief support group, but now that I fell off the wagon, your encouragement is what I need!
