sorry to hear of your loss
my younger brother who was probably in the last stages of an agonising alcoholic death died in a house fire 5 years ago
along with the pain and anguish was.......... relief ....relief he was not suffering anymore ,no pain ,no more mental illness ,no self loathing just peace ,some how i took a crumb of comfort in that ,maybe you feel that way a little too your mother is at peace now no more pain and worry ..take care pain does fade in time that i promise you
