When he would lock him self in to the bathroom under an excuse that his stomach hurts i would lay on the carpet behind the door hoping that i would see what exactly he is doing.
When he would fall asleep I would go through all his pockets looking for clues.
And I would always check under the mattress. I once found a bag of syringe's and he said they were old. He found them in a garage and wanted to throw them away but didn't want his parents to see them
