Soosie - This happened many years ago, however I went to Highland Hospital in Oakland for detox. I was frightened like you seem to be now. I want to tell you that beyond waiting what seemed like forever, I got great compassionate care there. I hope you go for it. There was also a place in Hayward, CA called Cronin House. It was a treatment facility for 30 plus days with a referral to Horizon Services for continued sober living. Please consider these resources.
