I am going to put these links. If they are not medical detoxes, they will probably have information as to where you can get medically detoxed:

From SF Public Health for Substance Abuse 1-800-750-2727 - this is the treatment access program phone line, they offer free placement
or if you are in SF and haven't called 311 yet you could try them

Check these links

Walden House, San Francisco - Drug and Alcohol Treatment
Delancey Street Foundation - Home
Welcome to the Mission Council on Alcohol Abuse for the Spanish Speaking, Inc.
Women's Recovery Association
Iris Center HOME

Department of Public Health, Community Substance Abuse Services

and if all else fails go here
Substance Abuse Treatment Facility Locator
and start calling places and asking

And you might call SF General or just go to their ER....

Honestly, there is no reason to pay in the Bay Area. What I have realized about resources in Substance Abuse treatment is it an issue of figuring out how to find the right places. Unless you have a case manager or already a relationship with social workers or probation officers I don't think it is that easy to find the free rehabs but the reality is that most of them are free or low cost that I know of in the city. In terms of medical detox, I don't exactly know, but the free rehabs will know the deal. I put on the list two that specifically deal with women and then a PDF that lists agencies that deals with women.
