Hi Charmian, thanks for asking yes I am going well and feeling good. I having a few tough moments but getting over them quickly. I am starting to realise that just because I have a challenge or a problem a drink wont make it better, learning to handle life without the drink I suppose.
I am getting to 3-4 meetings a week and loving it. Its so good to listen to people who understand what we as alcoholics go through. It now makes so much sense to me that only another alcoholic can comprehend the lengths we go to get a drink.
I am learning to take it a day at a time and for the first time I can remember I am living in the moment. I am living by the creed that if I dont have a drink I cant get drunk.
I heard a guy share last night and he said ÄA is a simple program for complicated people". I found that so relevant.
