Hi origional, Im glad that this DUI has made things clearer for you and I hope it is your bottom so you can get into recovery. I am going through the DUI process right now and I know it sucks but it is also a learning experience. I dont know what state you are in but you might ask your lawyer if your state has defered prosecution for DUI, where you do alcohol/drug treatment and pay for that instead of paying court fines.
