Grateful for this:
Today I figured something out.
A lose/lose situation looks like this: Either my sister will be consumed by her addiction, OR she will improve enough to take her child back into her unsafe care.
A
win/win situation looks like this: Either my sister will find recovery and learn to get better, OR we will continue to be blessed by having her lovely daughter in our home and in our lives.
The thing is that these are the same situation, just spun out differently. It's all about perspective.
I'm glad I figured that out today because it means we're going to win no matter what happens. I'm so incredibly grateful to be able to see that.
