I found that making changes in my daily routine really helped me in the early days. My problem time was being home alone because I used to drink by myself, so I had to plan around that. Since 8 pm is a problem time for you, why not be doing something totally different? You could go for a long walk, take a bubble bath, talk to a friend on the phone, put on a good movie, whatever can distract you for even a few minutes.
