I'm older too, and I promise you even our best and brightest can be brought to their knees by this disease. In my 20's I would have laughed at the idea I'd ever end up with 3 DUI's, ruined relationships, terrible health - but it all happened to me. Be happy that you are armed with so much knowledge and are wise enough to reach out for help before this damn disease takes you down.
