Hi & welcome Newlysober!

You've already begun, sista! Making a decision is key to quit and reaching out to others who identify and relate to you is essential. This forum is great. People really do care and they come from where you've been! For me, I was a binge drinker for years and would sometimes have a lot of times in between binges (2 wks to 2 mos) but the past years the binges lasted longer, the sober time shorter and before I knew it I was a 24/7 alcoholic drinker! I'm so glad your husband is supportive as that will help in your recovery.

My suggestion --- keep posting, reading and responding! If you're open to checking out AA in your city... go for it. You don't have to share while you're there and theres no pressure. It's just a bunch of drunks getting and staying sober, one day at a time with the help of another recovering alcoholic!

Good luck and keep reaching out!
