Dixie, Rather than bringing a subject up with him, let him lead the conversation. I have found that sometimes out of frustration my daughter and I both say things that we don't mean. I try to just keep my mouth shut when it comes to her recovery and let figure things out for herself unless she asks. When she came home for weekend passes we had a really nice time because I let go of a lot of expectations and tried to realize that for that day she was clean and I was grateful.
