My husband is in recovery and is working the 12 Steps. We were both raised Roman Catholic, married in the RC church, baptized our daughter in the RC Church and I am very involved in our church. He hasn't gone with me in years. Now that he's working on his relationship with his Higher Power, he wants to check out other churches (not RC) without even talking to our priest etc.
I plan to ask him to talk with our priest and tell him what his misgivings are - see if there's a resolution. If not, perhaps we need to look elsewhere. However, I am not certain that I want to go elsewhere.
Your thoughts?
