One's sanity is a very very precious thing and in all fairness to yourself and your family....do whatever you must to save yourself while you have the strength and fortitude to do it. It would be a sad thing to have your family hear of your demise simply because you did not possess the strength to leave an abusive relationship. I say do what you must.....and have no regrets.
