40 days is a miracle - congratulations. I still tear up at meetings, and I cry quite easily. I understand that these emotions can be overwhelming, but if you can accept them, even if you don't like them, that may help. It's helped me.
There are some people who, in their earnestness to help, forget how overwhelming early sobriety can be. Try not to take it personally when someone asks if you have a sponsor.
It took me a long time to feel comfortable in meetings, and I still have a difficult time at the beginning - wading through the crowd of smokers out front - but even that is becoming easier. I would stay after the meeting with my sponsor or a close friend, and ask them to stay close. Only now do I feel okay enough to wander around and go up to people.
What you're feeling is perfectly normal.
