Barb, My ex is NOT scamming SS. Federal Law I believe is if you were married total 10 yrs the ex can collect under your name. This would NOT cost me any money, the money comes from SS. There is noway my ex can hurt me. If SS lets him collect under my name there is nothing I can do about it & as long as he isn't hurting me I don't really care what he does or doesn't do. I haven't seen or talked to this person for like 30 yrs. He is a stranger to me as far as knowing him. I know what he was like a long time ago & that was enough.
As fas as AS goes he has never had a drug charge as far as I know. All his charges have been for Retail Theft, Parole Violations & 1 Escape Charge for walking away from work release. He has never been arrested for drugs. Lots of hugs Barb to you too.
Parent, I am not going to lift a finger to help my AS. I might have to help my dad get bk the car he paid for. I don't know if I should even do that or if its even doable. The car is now in some strangers name & this person is now in jail too. My dad says the Title is in the car. Will the impound give the car to us if the owner signs a release? That is what AS said to do to get the car back. My dad bought the car & has paid alot for all the repairs. AS told my dad if he was ever sent bk to jail the car would go bk to my dad. My dad was calling the impound to see what they had to say.
Dollydo, Thanks, I will stay strong as far as AS goes. There is no way I can help a 40 yr old man, he is doing things that are so out of control, I can't even believe it all. He is on his own. I cannot afford to get involved financially or emotionally. I am so far not having a problem with that. My problem is my poor dad. He bought this car & paid all the repair money plus my dad wants this car. It is an Escort with a hatchback, the kind of car my dad wants. That is how AS got him to buy it.
