worrying about it really isn't going to do any good... it's not going to make him call or show up.
i think if he was dead or living on the streets somewhere, someone probably would have been in touch with you... do his parents know how to contact you if they needed to?
he probably doesn't have a good excuse... most likely still drinking and wanting to neglect all responsibilities, like cell phone bills...
