Hollywood director David Lynch has been part of some of the most popular television shows and movies including Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive and The Elephant Man. He is an outspoken advocate of TM. Lynch is so passionate about TM that he started the David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace to educate others on the transformational potential of TM.
For himself, Lynch states, “I started Transcendental Meditation in 1973 and have not missed a single meditation ever since. Twice a day, every day. It has given me effortless access to unlimited reserves of energy, creativity and happiness deep within.”
Based on his experiences, Lynch believes that TM is a technique that can be practiced by students and teachers as well as military personnel. He refers to this version of TM as “Quiet Time.” So far, it has been shown to reduce stress, improve academic performance, student wellness and the school environment. Lynch strongly believes TM is capable of changing lives for the good for all people.
