Well, I went to court today... (Boy was I freaking out yesterday)...

Bottom line is that the date has been reset for April. Apparently the prosecutor is very concerned about the two arrests being so close together -- the phrase "...facing serious jail time..." was brought up today.

The plan is for me to continue doing what I've been doing, and to continue to build up some more history of a good track record being active in AA and the community at large. In other words, status quo for now. My freedom (unsupervised) and license (unrestricted) remain intact for the time being.

Although "the sword" is still hanging over my head, this is certainly an answer to my prayers about wanting to continue leading the new life I've been building since I started on recovery. Basically nothing changes for now and I'm being given the opportunity to show that I am sincere. I should have my 9-month chip by then.

THANK YOU GOD!!!!!!! :)

I'm still apprehensive about my future but I'm calming down. Hey, at least I'm THINKING about a future again! All I have to do for now is keep on doing what I'm doing, and think about the next right thing. Talk about a daily reprieve!

Thank You God!!!
