Pat on the back... Tomorrow will be 8 weeks for me. I am still thrilled with my sobriety. I've been reading an AA book. Keeping my mind busy. I attended a AA meeting online. Not to say that AA is the only way but I believe it can't hurt! LOL |
Congratulations Way to go. AA may not be the only way but it is a way that works for many. |
Congrats! You give hope to others. |
That is great! You must be very proud! 2 months is a long time, I will be so happy when I reach that:) |
Way to go!!!! Thanks for sharing the journey with us! |
Congratulations! AA sure did not hurt me, in fact it helped me to get some sober days under my belt and helps me stay that way... one day at a time. And being drunk did not "help me" at all. |
no doubt!

I think everything will help but you have to be ready for it. :wiggle: |

8 Weeks is FANTASTIC!!! The first day I came to this site I loved your quote, I put it on my desktop as a reminder, it really had meaning for me. One reason I don't drink is that I want to know when I am having a good time. ~Lady Astor :You_Rock_ THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION :You_Rock_ |

Oh, yea, I get it with the blackouts, sad to say.... But then there was also the thinking one was having a good time when NOT:hypnotize Oh yea, and then the added burden of making sure everyone else was not having a good time :blah Getting sober seemed like such work, but geez, piece of cake compared to the drunken nightmare Way to go on the 8 weeks, your doing GREAT!!!! One reason I don't drink is that I want to know when I am having a good time. ~Lady Astor |
