Vman, vouchers yes, although I think I will be very lucky to even get a reply.
Is there no 24 hour supermarkets in France?
Enjoy your walk. :)

Cityboy 01-12-2021 02:56 AM

I've had a mustache since high school but could never get through that initial itching to grow a beard.

Here (Florida) we have the 24 hour Walmarts and a grocery store or two for those inclined to go shopping at all hours. The late night shopping crowd can be a trip. Not many people out in the early morning, but usually like one or two people working the whole store. The rest are probably asleep in the back.

Hope you can go back to sleep a while Bimini.

Well if you dont get a voucher write to Borris. I've never been in a 24h shop here and i think if i mentioned it it might spark off bastille day II...

a little pic from my lunchtime exploring :

see you all on the new thread :)

biminiblue 01-12-2021 05:33 AM

I went back to bed but I don't think I slept 24 hours. It's only Tuesday, Vman. Are you going offline or did I miss something?

Ankle report. Still swollen. I know everyone was waiting on the edges of their seats.

Kaily 01-12-2021 05:39 AM

Yeah in hindsight I should of copied Boris in.:waiting

Mags1 01-12-2021 05:58 AM

Bim, thanks for the ankle report, sorry I said foot earlier. I hope the swelling goes down. Here’s a bird table, there’s lots of designs to choose from and add-on feeders.

Kaily, I wonder if the ceo will say they were exempt wearing them. Shouldn’t be on shop floor though without a mask. :yup: 6am used to be my favourite time to go shopping. I tried 4am but there was too much traffic in the shop, too many cages transporting food on the shop floor.

Vinny, lovely pic.Nice to get away at lunch. It looks like it’s going to be sunny there. Sun’s out here.:)

biminiblue 01-12-2021 06:00 AM

Oh, it's an actual thing for the birds. Interesting. That one could also be called, "Squirrel Table," I would imagine.

My whole foot is swollen and bruised so you're not far off.

Mags1 01-12-2021 06:43 AM

Bim, sounds like your foot needs plenty of cold compresses before the swelling goes. (sometimes I have a habit of stating the obvious!) :dunno:
That’s true, squirrel’s come and feed too. I want to get a squirrel feeder too. It has a lid that it lifts, just for squirrels.

I don't think the CEO will even read my email, never mind reply. I only did it because whilst driving there I heard on the radio that supermarkets are going to stop letting people in without masks, which is fair enough. I agree, if it had only been a couple of staff then yes, they might well of been exempt, but five all in the same area, I don't think so.

I went to Asda website and you can't email, only phone and it was too early for that. Then with some googling I came across CEO's email.

I'm just being pedantic.

Don't forget I spend far too much time on my own, I will be calling radio phone ins next. :wink3:

Good morning, evening, all. Good to see you!

Vman, love the photo.

Kaily, you have a way of making me chuckle; love your sense of humor. I agree that the employees should be masked.

Mags, what a cute bird table. How do you keep the squirrels out?

Bim, do you try to keep your foot elevated when you sleep, also?

CityBoy, yes the light night shoppers can be quite entertaining? So many pajama models traversing the aisles.

MantaLady 01-12-2021 09:36 AM

I went out Saturday to get some cat food and milk, the roads were super busy, normal walking routes in the village for exercise were super busy. My area in the NW uk has had the highest COViD levels all year. Our streets are busy, no-one is taking any notice and no-one is doing anything about it! Deep breath, trying to not get annoyed by it but I am a little annoyed lol x

MantaLady 01-12-2021 09:42 AM

No-one will get this other than Vman!! I am now listening to Faith no More, Surprise...your dead! Vinny will get me lol x

andyh 01-12-2021 10:11 AM

this is a squirrel table Bim:

hope your ankle is on the mend

MantaLady 01-12-2021 10:35 AM

I can’t order my cat food.!called the police tonight as my village is becoming a walking area for people when usually we see no-one ever. The streets are busier than normal. I know the “control what you can and leave what you can’t mantra) but it is not working. Anyone here to talk some sense into me?

Kaily 01-12-2021 10:55 AM

I think you should email Cressida Dick, Manta. ;)

Seriously I understand your frustration but as you say it is beyond our control. Chris Witty said we only need to worry about what we are doing, not everyone else.

People that have never walked are walking, it is the only thing we are allowed to do. Everywhere is busy.

Stay calm.

MantaLady 01-12-2021 11:42 AM

I am sick of doing the right thing after a year when no-one else gives a sh€t

Robbie64 01-12-2021 11:51 AM

Manta, the streets around where I live seem to be busier than usual. I think that may be down to people shopping nearer to home rather than going to the supermarkets in the town centre. The roads seem busy with traffic though. I don't know where everyone is driving to.

MantaLady 01-12-2021 11:51 AM

Just spent 36 mins talking to the Samaritans. That’s where I am x

Dee74 01-12-2021 11:59 AM

I’m sorry Manta - what’s going on?
You seemed pretty jazzed about the interview?

D

MantaLady 01-12-2021 12:07 PM

Happy about the interview but really stressed about the uk restrictions. I am home doing nothing and seems everyone else is just doing what they want. We’ve even had a potential government tighter restrictions cause people won’t follow the rules x
